Technology has made our lives so convenient, hasn’t it? And I’m sure we’ve all heard about the horrible side effects that It’s causing. But, personally, I like to think of them as growing pains. However, there is one thing that concerns me.
Much of how technology is helping us is by making our daily tasks as instantaneous as possible and therefore more efficient. So, why is that bad? Well, I feel that we have grown a habit of expecting things to happen immediately. The faster the better, right?
Now, I’d like to remind you about one of the most powerful forces of nature,
which we all happen to have at our disposal.(마침 그게 우리 손 안에 있는 것이기도 한)
Cumulative effect. There’s no denying that if you could maintain the discipline of consistent effort over time, you could get and achieve pretty much anything you want in life. I’m not saying it’s easy, it’s really hard to master this discipline. But the reward is so great that it’s crazy not to try.
I suggest that you start with something small that you can do every single day like drinking 2.5 liters of water or memorizing one difficult English sentence a day. Oh, and if you’re feeling a little skeptical about this cumulative effective thing, just try eating a bag of potato chips every single night for a month and see what happens to you.
